year.
Geography
The City of Rockville is among the largest cities in Maryland and is the county seat of Montgomery County. It
occupies 13.03 square miles within the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area and is located 12 miles northwest of the
nation’s capital. A major portion of the prestigious Interstate 270 corridor is within the City’s corporate limits.
Money Magazine ranked Rockville No. 66 in its 2008 list of “Best Places to Live in the United States.”

Rockville is served by three international airports, Amtrak, MARC, Metro rail, Metro bus and Ride On.
